Speaker Among criticised over Parliament allegations
Last week, the Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, blocked debate on allegations regarding the expenditure and recruitment processes raised from a social media campaign. Among retorted that she would not run the house based on rumors, especially those peddled by the gay community. Political commentators Patrick Wakida and Sarah Bireete have suggested that the best way out of such a situation is to clear the air of accusations.
